Personality: For what she is lacking in facial beauty, Matana more than makes up for in intelligence and poise. Blessed with a shrewd business mind, Matana handles government and private interests with deceptive ease. But beneath her exquisite exterior, Matana has a fierce temper. She controls it pretty well, most of the time, but woe to the person who makes her well and truly angry!
Life Story: Matana was born on Thyra at the Belwan Estate. A grandaughter of the then Ducherre of Orenes, Matana was brought up with and around the Princess Alira. Only two years younger than her Queen, Matana idolizes Alira. As a result of their childhood and adult friendships, Matana is fiercely protective of her friend and Queen. She guards Alira's privacy and reputation like a tenacious bulldog. Matana comes from a long line of illustrious warriors and is a very talented warrior herself. She and Alira can often be found in the practice yard perfecting their swordplay or their martial arts skills.
