Physical Description: Daphine is rather thin and tall, about 5’9”, giving her a regal appearance—a testament to her noble heritage. She has black hair and clear blue eyes, pale skin and high cheekbones. She’s very well-spoken and her watery voice is at once pleasant and affronting to listen to. Try not to think of her as Sethe’s trophy chick, because it bothers her that people might be thinking so.
Personality:
Life Story:A Priestess (first level) and daughter of the Royal Trestin family and a niece of the Marquane of Trestin herself. Daphine has several older sisters and as such was given-over to the priestesses for training. But much was still expected of her, and unfortunately, she failed. She grew up on Thyra and in the Temple Sephora (located west of Varvara) and as such seems quite ill-suited to frontier life on Theron. She met Sethe when the merchant woman was on Thyra networking and the two became friends and lovers shortly afterwards, despite the fact that they are of different classes (chock that up as one more thing Daphine can’t do right). Due to some . . . unpleasantness, Daphine found herself re-assigned to the Temple Dupax outside Elpidia on Theron, and she was able to get re-acquainted with Sethe. Way out here, Daphine’s Priestess duties are a sort of combination teacher and local preacher, and she’s grown quite fond of the people in her community despite the fact that to her mind they are a bunch of uneducated mountain folk.
