Physical Description: Alira is tall (app. 5'10"), has sunbronzed skin and blue/black hair that falls to her knees when unbound. She has black eyes that are almond-shaped, adding to her exotic appearance. Alira is lithe and athletic. She has a two-inch scar on her right knee from a fall she took as a child.
Personality: Other than being a tad spoiled and used to getting her way, Alira is a remarkably well-adjusted individual. The well-being of her realm is her number one concern and she is very aware of all her responsibilities and obligations. And she takes them very seriously. In her private life, Alira is loving and affectionate. She is intelligent and witty, although her wit can run toward sarcasm. Alira finds it hard to trust most people, fearing that they might be using her because of her position. But what friends she finds trustworthy, she is completely loyal to and keeps.
Life Story: Alira was born in the Palace in Lycenae on Thyra. From the moment she drew her first independent breath she was trained to be the next Queen. At two, she sat her first pony. At four, a tutor was engaged to teach her to read, write, figure and learn both the languages of the Empire and all the foreign languages she would need to know. At eight, another tutor began teaching her history, government, economics and etiquette. At twelve, she learned to drive an aircar, began learning fencing, swordplay, martial arts, military strategy and how to pilot and navigate spacecraft. At fourteen, her mother began taking her on Imperial Progresses to other planets in the Empire and to foreign worlds, as well. After her "Chola" or sixteenth birthday celebration, Alira was confirmed as Crown Princess and Heir to the Throne of Yamari. Her days were then filled with work and duty but she was very happy. In the following years, Alira formed her own household, acquired her own courtiers and formed her own opinions about the goings-on in the Empire and without. Then came the terrible day in her 29th year when her mother was killed in a freak horseback riding accident. Alira was Crowned Queen and despite her youth and sorrow, has been a very fine ruler.
